- Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance (mBAS), mimics naturally-occurring pheromones that are secreted by the skin of the mammary gland of lactating animals
- 2-Methyl-2-butenal (2M2B) is a synthetic cross-species, calming pheromone
Applied with a SINGLE SITE application, CattleZen should be used on healthy cattle, for the maintenance of balanced behaviour and mitigation of the negative impact of stress, induced by handling, transport, mixing animals, and other routine management practices.
Dosage & Administration
- Application Method: Topical administration applied as a single-site dose directly to the skin above the muzzle. Do not inject.
- Dose Volume:
- Cattle weighing over 200 lbs: Apply 5 mL.
- Cattle weighing under 200 lbs: Apply 3 mL. [1]
- Frequency: Fast-acting and sustained; an additional application can be repeated after 14 days if another major stress event occurs.
