Description

A high magnesium feed lick for all types of sheep where there is risk of hypomagnesaemia, commonly
known as grass staggers.

Ideal for all sheep post-lambing on lush spring and autumn grass when the risk is higher.

FEATURES & BENEFITS:
• Very high sugar content improves palatability to encourage intakes
• Contains 8% highly available magnesium, ideal for use where there is a risk of
grass staggers (to aid in the prevention of grass staggers)
• Includes full range of minerals, vitamins and trace elements helping to balance
those often found deficient in grazing
• The inclusion of protected zinc aids in the nutritional management of good
tissue and feet health, especially important where mastitis and lameness can
affect performance
• Helps support digestibility and intake of grazing and forages
• Available in a 20kg bucket

FEEDING GUIDELINES:
• OPTI-LIX should be fed on a free-access basis with ad lib forage or grazing
• Feed post-lambing in spring and until grass staggers risk has passed and again
in later summer/autumn
• 1x 20kg lick per 35 sheep, not recommended for sheep pre-lambing
• Site over the whole grazing area to encourage wider foraging
• Ensure adequate forage or grazing is available at all times
• Move the feeding site occasionally to avoid poaching when fed outside
• Ensure enough buckets are available for stock at the recommended rates
• Place away from drinking water to control intakes
